Conita Timmerman

Conita Colleen (Parsley) Timmerman, 67, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri on Saturday, September 21st.

Conita was born in Sacramento, California on June 14, 1952 to Eugene Kirkland and Mona Ione (Rundle) Parsley. Connie grew up in Rio Linda, California and graduated from high school in 1970. In January of 1971 she married Richard F. Timmerman. With Richard being in the military, Connie got to see a great deal of the U.S. and Germany moving from place to place. In 1983, Connie and Richard set their feet firmly on a farm outside of Cherryvale, Kansas and raised their family. Connie was a longtime member of the Dearing Christian Church and loved to crochet, care for her dogs, collect dolls, spoons, bells and anything to do with elephants but most of all she loved spending her time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mona Parsley, brothers, Lloyd, Frank, Ralph, Ivan, Luey, Kirk, Sam, Orva and two infant brothers, sisters, Madelyn Moore, Janie Boyce, and Dorothy Haas.

Those left to cherish Connie’s memory, husband Richard Timmerman, sons, Samuel (Cyndee) Timmerman, and Timothy Timmerman, daughter, Teresa (Robert) Barnett, daughter in-law, Trish McGill, brother, Rodney Manning, eight grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas on Friday, September 27th at 12:00PM with interment immediately following at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence. To leave the family a special message of condolence, please visit www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
