Colleen Mccabe

Colleen L. McCabe, 73, of Independence died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with Pastor Melton Jones of the Community Christian Church Officiating. Burial will follow in the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, Kansas. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Colleen was born November 22, 1939 in West Mineral, Kansas the daughter of John F. and Evelyn J. Richards Wickersham. She grew up in West Mineral and attended and graduated from the West Mineral School System. On December 17, 1960 in West Mineral, Kansas Colleen was united in marriage to Frank McCabe and the couple made their home in Independence. Frank survives at the home. Colleen worked in the Montgomery County Appraisers office from which she retired. Survivors include her husband, Frank McCabe and two sons Frank McCabe of Independence, Kansas and Mike McCabe of Kansas.
