SHE HAS TWO LIVING SIBLINGS, BOB (DELORES) BOORIGIE, RESIDENT OF SYCAMORE, KANSAS AND MARY (RON) MEISNER, RESIDENT OF INDEPENDENCE, KANSAS.
SHE ATTENDED ST ANDREWS ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL, INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL AND INDEPENDENCE JUNIOR COLLEGE. COLLEN TAUGHT SCHOOL IN BARTLETT, KANSAS AFTER GRADUATING FROM INDEPENDENCE JUNIOR COLLEGE.
SHE ENJOYED 39 1/2 YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT WITH FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN BEFORE RETIRING AT 69 TO HER HOME AT 3028 REGENCY DR. IN INDEPENDENCE, KANSAS.
SHE WAS MARRIED TO RALPH EDWARDS WHO DIED AT THE AGE OF 55 IN MARCH OF 1980.
COLLEEN IS SURVIVED BY HER SON, JOE EDWARDS WHO WITH HIS WIFE JOAN, ARE RESIDENTS OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS, AND THEIR DAUGHTER MELINDA EDWARDS WHO IS A RESIDENT OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
COLLEEN ENJOYED COUNTRY WESTERN MUSIC AND DANCING, PLANTING FLOWERS AND FOR YEARS COLLECTED ANGELS AND ANTIQUE DOLLS.
SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ST. ANDREWS CATHOLIC CHURCH WHERE SHE HAD FAITHFULLY ATTENDED SINCE HER CHILDHOOD YEARS.
COLLEEN WAS A VERY DEVOTED MOTHER AND WIFE ALWAYS PUTTING HER FAMILY AND FAITH FIRST.
