Cleona Marilla Musgrove, 87, of Independence KS, passed away Monday May 8th 2017 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville KS.
Services will be Monday, May 15th 2017 at 11:00am at Potts Chapel in Independence KS. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 14th 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with the family receiving friends and family from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Potts Chapel in Independence KS.
Cleona M. Musgrove was born April 20, 1930 at Le Hunt KS. She was the daughter of Clinton R. and Mabel (Lobaugh) Reynolds. She attended Le Hunt School and Independence High school. On July 14, 1946 she was united in marriage to Hollis M. Musgrove in Independence KS. They had two children; a daughter Linda Diana and a son Eugene Hollis.
Cleona was a homemaker and a member of the Le Hunt Red Pepper Club, a sewing and quilting club. She loved to quilt, and she quilted many quilts for the American Red Cross and for others. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting afghans, reading, and gardening. She enjoyed camping with her husband, going to campouts and on family vacations. They were members of the King of the Road camping club. Cleona enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Cleona is survived by her daughter Linda Diana Musgrove of Independence KS and son Eugene Hollis Musgrove and wife Linda Ann of San Antonio TX, a sister Cleota Honey of Springfield MO, and two grandsons; Cameron Musgrove and wife Maryellen of Albuquerque, NM, and Grant Musgrove and wife Julie of San Antonio, TX, and five great- grandchildren; Holly, Jack, Keith, Gavin and Jaxon Musgrove.
Cleona is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers, and two sisters.
