Claron C. C. Sullivan, 101, of Independence died at his home Monday November 24, 2014.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 10:00 a. m. at the Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas with Eric Pralle Officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery in Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 8:00 p. m., Monday, December 1, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel.
The family has suggested memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence.
C. C. was born July 24, 1913 in Caney, Kansas, the son of William and Ruth Spangle Sullivan. He attended and graduated from the Wayside School System in 1931.
On July 19, 1941, C. C. Was united in marriage to Irma Hellwig and the couple made their home in Rural Independence. Irma preceded C. C. in death in April of 1999.
C. C. was a farmer and rancher and was selfemployed.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons Loran and Gerald Sullivan both of Independence, Ks., one sister Wanda Schalel of Independence, Ks., five grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.
