Clark Perry Ferrell, age 70, of Caney, Kansas died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Caney United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Clemence officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. Friends may sign the register book from 1 5 p.m. on Sunday October 17, at Potts Chapel in Caney The family has suggested memorials to the Caney United Methodist Church Youth Program and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney. Clark Perry Ferrell was born March 17, 1940 near Peru, Kansas, the second child of five to Clyde O. and Lila E. White Ferrell. He grew up in Peru area attending Peru schools, graduating from Peru High School. In 1962, Clark married Paulette Sue Hoffman in San Diego, California. The couple later divorced. In 1988 Clark married Patsy Davison and she preceded him in death in 1998. In December of 2001 Clark married Karen Sherwood and the couple made their home near Caney. Survivors include his wife Karen of the home sons Scott Ferrell of San Diego, California, Jason Ferrell and Jeffrey Sherwood of Washington, D.C. daughter Stacy Boyer of Independence grandchildren and one great grandchild Brother Bill and Doc Ferrell of Caney Sisters Mary Mooney of Peru, Kansas and Sharon Roberts of Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter Christina Marie Ferrell. Clark is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a Corpsman to the Marines in Vietnam. After leaving the Military, Clark was employed as a medical lab technician at the Sedan Hospital. Following this he worked in the construction trade, and ultimately retiring from the Independence School System.
