Clara Stark

Clara N. M. Stark, 90, formally of Independence, died Friday October 7, 2011 at the Windsor Place, LLC of Coffeyville. Cremation has taken place and family services will be taken place at a later date. Clara was born August 19, 1921,in Peru, Kansas the daughter of Thomas M. and Ella M. Brewster Doty Sr. She attended the Sedan School Systems after graduating Clara then attended Pittsburg State and Emporia State Colleges and received her Bachelors and Master degrees. In 1943 Clara was united in marriage to George G. McCuistion in Girard, Kansas he preceded her in death. In 1967 she was united in marriage to Donald M Stark in Neodesha, Kansas he also preceded her in death. Clara worked as a Teacher for thirty years she taught in Chautauqua County, Harmony school in Wilson, County, Summit and RacoaWetzel School in Montgomery county, Lincoln School in Independence, Kansas, Altoona School as well as AltoonaMidway Schools . She enjoyed working with children as well as raising her family during this time. Clara loved music. She sang through out the day. Survivors include four sons James P. McCuistion of Independence,David C. McCuistion of Eldrado, Kansas, George G. McCuistion of Dekalb, illinois, Pastor Mark W. McCuistion of Chanute, Kansas, Dr. Patrick J. McCuistion of Athens, Ohio,and two Stepsons Dr. Ernest E. Stark of Fremont, Nebraska, Dr. Michael J. Stark of Coquitlan BC, Canada, numerous Grandchildren andnumerous Great Grandchildren.
