Clara Chickadonz

Clara Dey Chickadonz went to be with her Heavenly Father at 2:04 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She was the daughter of Lance and Ellie Chickadonz of Independence, Kansas. She passed peacefully in the arms of her mother, father, and sister.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Melanie Adams officiating. The services have been entrusted with Potts Chapel of Independence.
Clara was born on January 23, 2014 in Wichita, Kansas. She always had a smile for everyone she met. She was strong, beautiful, smart, sweet, and a blessing to us all. Clara loved books, music, dancing and loving on her family. She was incredibly brave in the face of the many obstacles in her life.
She was met in heaven by her great grandparents and a twin sibling. Survivors include her mother, father, and her sister Abby. Also, maternal grandparents Mike and Deena Testerman of Dearing, paternal grandparents Donnie and Lynda Chickadonz of rural Chanute, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
