Cindy Blake

Cindy Pauline Blake, age 41, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Sunday, July 10, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the New Life Praise and Worship in Cherryvale, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Zachrey Blake and Ashley Essary scholarship fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Cindy was born September 7, 1969 in Independence, Kansas to Roy and Janice Hammond. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and was a member of the Cherryvale Class of 1988. Cindy married Keith Essary and the couple later divorced. On March 28, 2003 Cindy married Jeff Blake in Coffeyville, Kansas and the couple made their home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Cindy worked at Another Day Inc. and SKIL as a home health aideCNA. Survivors include daughter Ashley Essary of Quitman, Texas, son Zach Blake of Cherryvale, Kansas parents, Roy Hammond of Cherryvale, Kansas, Janice Hammond and Dale Webber of Cherryvale, Kansas brother David Hammond of Cherryvale, Kansas, sister Christy Jones of Independence, Kansas.
