Charlotte Ann was born on August 10, 1948 in Independence, Kansas to Joseph A. and Edith A. (Hinman) Main. Charlotte grew up and attended school in Independence. On March 19, 2004, she married Michael Scott in Topeka, Kansas. “Grammy” as she preferred to be called by all that knew her, owned and operated Four Sister’s Quilt Barn from 2010. She had an artist eye when it came to quilting. She always knew the right pattern and colors each quilt needed for each person. She was a mentor to many quilters in the area. Grammy was the acting president of Material Girl’s Quilt Guild, president of the Coffeyville Quilters Guild and she was the Philanthropic, donating quilts for babies and the elderly for 2 years. Grammy was very creative, she had a knack for repurposing old discarded furniture and antiques. She loved to of course quilt, go antiquing, camping, sewing, cooking and watching TV, especially the Hallmark Channel and “The Voice” with Blake Shelton. Most of all, Grammy loved her family, she simply adored the time she got to spend with her family. From cooking dinners with her homemade rolls, to singing special songs with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grammy will be deeply missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edith Main, and sister, Melba Main.
Those left to cherish Grammy’s memory include, husband, Michael Scott, daughters, Becky and husband David Meek, Tracy Gordon, and Jeannette and husband Scott Calvert, stepsons, Ryan and Kyle Scott, brother, Denzel (Fayrene) Main, sisters, Carolyn Main, Christine (Jim) Hare, and Pam (Larry) McHugh, grandchildren, Madison (Jackson), Kennedee (Nathan), Synclaire, Anderson, Dalanie, Sterling, Brittany, Billy, and Mikel (Amanda), great grandchildren, Hunter, Conner, Ryder, Rylee and Tye.
