Charles Wilson

Charles Yeaman Wilson, Independence, passed away on December 13th, 2020 at Labette Health. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel of Independence. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Charles Yeaman Wilson was born January 5th, 1950. He was the son of Y.C Hawkins and Lois Jean Fossett in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the Luisinger High School in Lawndale, CA. Charles delivered health supplies for Professional Health for many years. He moved to Independence, Kansas in 2005 to be closer to his children.

In 1984, Charles married Mary Rose Clausen. He enjoyed fishing and watching movies. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, wife Mary Rose, daughter Michelle Powers and granddaughter Lacey Powers.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Reno Shuster of Florida, James Powers of Neodesha, KS, Starlight Wilson of Independence, KS; sisters: Brandy (Powers) Canevit and Jamie Powers both of Coffeyville, KS, and nine (plus one on the way) grandchildren.
