June 20, 1925 — December 18, 2014

Charles Charlie O. James, 89, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Thursday at the Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with the Reverend Kenny Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas, under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas.
Charles was born June 20, 1925 in Neodesha, Kansas the son of Jerrymiah and Gertrude M. Schoonover James he grew up in Neodesha and attended the Neodesha School System.
On December 14, 1944 Charles was united in marriage to Margaret Low in Columbus, Kansas and the couple made their home in the Neodesha Area. Margaret preceded Charles in death.
Charles farmed most of his life and retired from framing.
He was a member of the Eagles Club in Cherryvale and Parson, Kansas and Mayor of Labette City, Kansas for five years.
Survivors include two daughters Marjorie Eaton and Mary Dulohery of Fredonia, Kansas three
Sons Chuck E. and Robert James of Neodesha, Kansas and George W. James of Oswego, Kansas thirteen grand children and 19 great grandchildren.
