Charles Hinthorn

Charles L Hinthorn, 87, of Independence, KS. passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Medicalodges Independence, KS. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at Potts Chapel in Independence, KS. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.
Charles L Hinthorn was born May 16, 1930 in Independence, KS. the son of Jesse and Leona (Emry) Hinthorn. Charles attended school in Independence and graduated High School at Independence, KS. On July 13, 1962 Charles was united in marriage to Barbara (Bruington) in Independence, KS. where they made their home.
Charles loved to watch and attend sporting events. You would see Charles and his wife attending Independence High School and ICC Football, Basketball, Baseball and Softball games. Charles also loved to attend horse races and travel with friends. He enjoyed attending auctions, raising black angus cattle and most of all Charles loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Charles is survived by one daughter Leigh Ann Beeson and husband Dev of Parsons, KS. and one grandchild Ryan Beeson of Parsons, KS.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2014, his parents, three brothers: Harold Hinthorn, Donald Hinthorn, and Herbert Hinthorn, and three sisters: Audrey Kerr, Esther Lauderdale and Mary Boom. Memorials can be left in Charles name to the 4-H Wildcat Foundation and can be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, KS.
