Carolyn was born June 15, 1941 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was the daughter of James and Dorothy (Shaw) Brown. She grew up and graduated in Peru, Kansas.
Carolyn worked for many years at Wal-Mart in Coffeyville and Independence before retiring. She loved everyone she worked with and all of the customers who always stopped to chat while she took care of the fresh flowers. She was known as "Granny". She had many adopted grandkids she loved as her own. Carolyn had a sense of humor, as many of knew her can remember! She could give anyone "the look" just to get a reaction. She enjoyed picking up her grandkids and taking them cruising while the latest rap music was playing loudly. She also loved driving around to the Beatles.
Our mom will be greatly missed, but we will carry funny and wonderful memories of her always. She would want everyone to remember those fun times, laugh and have a beer!
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband R.L, son Nathan Allen Hale and grandson Travis Don Guyot.
