Candice Jo Tarkington, age 22, of Wann, Oklahoma formerly of Independence, Kansas, the sunset on her life August 18, 2014 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Independence, Kansas with the Pastor Darren Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Candice Tarkington memorial and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
The sun rose for Candice January 9, 1992 in Independence, Kansas to Coy R. and Deborah Jo Froebe Tarkington. Candice grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School with the class of 2010. She worked at Taco Inn during her high school years and was currently working at Highway Man Signs Wraps in Dewey, Oklahoma and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her mother Deborah Hudson of Wann, Oklahoma her brother Coy Dean Tarkington of Fort Lewis, Washington step father Ben Hudson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma father Coy R. Tarkington Jr. of Arkansas maternal grandfather Dean Froebe of Cherryvale, Kansas paternal grandmother Fran Holloway of Jonesboro, Arkansas Aunts and Uncles Steve and Jamie Froebe of Seattle, WA, Doug and Dana Froebe of Independence, Kansas, Randy and Kelly Frost of Tyronza, Arkansas Cousins, Kelsie Froebe, Josh Froebe, Kenzie Ballew, Jordan Ballew, Chance Froebe, Elise Froebe, Kennedy Froebe, Wesley Frost, Samantha Frost, and Madison Frost. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Dona Froebe and Aunt Rhonda Hairell.
