Brooklyn Garton

Brooklyn Faith Garton, age 4 12 months, of Caney, Kansas passed from this life Wednesday, May 29, 2014 at Jane Phillips Hospital, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Tyro Christian Church with Pastor Nathan Boldt officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney under the direction of Potts Chapel in Caney.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Potts Chapel in Caney. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Brooklyn Garton Memorial Fund, at the Community National Bank in Caney. These remembrances may also be left in care of Potts Chapel of Caney.

Brooklyn was born January 16, 2014 in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Cindy J. Sell Marlett and Timothy R. Garton. Her family proclaims she was a joy to all who knew her in the brief time she was with us.

She is survived by her mother Cindy Marlett and brothers Jordon Sell and Jakob Marlett of the home in Caney, brother and sisters Tucker Garton, Traxcyn Garton, and Tynlee Garton of Caney. Other survivors are grand parents, numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and many other family and friends.

Brooklyn was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Garton in 2013, and her Uncle James Sell in 2006.
Arrangements are under the care of Potts Chapel of Caney, Kansas.
