Brenda Benbrook

Brenda Lee Benbrook, age 59, of Independence, Kansas died January 28, 2013 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Longton Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the American Diabetes Association and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Brenda was born February 23, 1953 in Independence, Kansas to Billy L. and Edra Vestal Kimzey. She grew up in Independence, Kansas and attended school in Independence. Brenda worked at ACC in Independence, Kansas. On December 17, 1979 Brenda married Randall L. Benbrook in Belton, Missouri. The couple made their home in Pleasanton, Kansas. Brenda was a homemaker and loved animals, crocheting and helping with the grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Randall of Amoret, Missouri one son William Doug Benbrook of Amoret, Missouri one daughter Traci Lynn Benbrook of Amoret, Missouri her mother Edra Baldwin of Independence, Kansas two brothers Bill L. Kimzey and Bryant Kimzey both of Independence, Kansas one sister Pamela A. Atikinson of Independence, Kansas three grandchildren Alanah Mae Middleton, Brent Jameson Benbrook, and Luke William Benbrook.
