Billy Ray Presley, age 72, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home in Cherryvale, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Eric Lang officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Alabama.

Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas.

Billy Ray Presley was born January 22, 1942 the son of William Donald (Pete) and Ida Mae (Miller) Presley in Lottie, Alabama. He attended school in Bay Minette, Alabama and graduated from the Baldwind County High School in Bay Minette, Alabama.

Billy Ray was united in marriage to Karen Sue Padley April 22, 1988 and the couple made their home in Cherryvale, Kansas for 24 years where Billy Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Billy Ray worked for the Cherryvale School District for 20 years as a custodian.

Survivors include his wife Karen of the home; two daughters Michelle Parson of Arnold, Nebraska and Cindy Bice of Chanute, Kansas; step daughter Susan Potter of Cherryvale, Kansas; one brother Roger Presley of Perdido, Alabama; two sisters Fay Milstid of Perdido, Alabama and Jewel Dockens of Booneville, Alabama; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, William (Buddy) Presley and Ralph Presley, three sisters Ida (Presley) Lofton, Mary Milstid and Anna Lee (Dee) Norton.
