Billie June Ragan, age 77, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at her home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Dick Drumeller of the Crystalbrook Church officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family will receive friends at 633 W. Main in Cherryvale, Kansas. Memorial remembrances are suggested to Hospice of Kansas and they may be left at Potts Chapel of Cherryvale or mailed to P.O. Box 801, Independence, Kansas 67301. Billie was born February 14, 1933 in Rural Cherryvale, Kansas to Warden and Eva Corn Hills. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and attended schools in Cherryvale, Kansas. On December 26, 1951 Billie married Jack R. Ragan in Cherryvale, Kansas where the couple made their home. Billie was a homemaker and worked as a Pharmacy Clerk for over 20 years at Gibsons in Independence, Kansas. Survivors include her husband Jack of the home five children Diana Dunham, Leah Carter and Michael Ragan of Cherryvale, Kansas, Gail Whitson of Kansas City, Kansas and Terry Morgan of Emporia, Kansas two sisters Loretta Koscelny of Delaware, Oklahoma and Shirley Logan of Independence, Kansas one brother Mike Hills of Independence, Kansas 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one grandson and one great grandson
