Billie Dewey

Billie Richard Dewey, 62, of Neodesha, Kansas passed at his home Thursday, December 27, 2018. Visitation will be held at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Billie Richard "Bill" Dewey was born on July 1, 1956 to William Richard and Mable Jean (Lewis) Dewey in Independence, Kansas. Bill attended and graduated from Independence High School in 1974. After graduation Bill worked in the maintenance department of the Independence Public Schools until 1989. On June 30, 1990, Bill married Terry Julian in Neodesha, Kansas. Bill and Terry made their home in Neodesha and Bill began working at Prestige Cabinets. Bill worked in the shipping department at Prestige Cabinets until 2008. Bill loved to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kansas Jayhawks, and Kansas City Chiefs every time they were on. He loved spending his free time doing all types of woodworking, playing with his dogs, working on all of Terry's home projects, and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to carry on Bill's memory, wife, Terry Dewey of Neodesha, KS, son, Randy McKinnis of Cherryvale, KS, daughters, Crystal Julian, and Corina Julian, both of Neodesha, KS, sister, Sallie Dewey of Independence, KS, and 15 grandchildren.
