Beulah Osborn

Beulah Aline Osborn, 85, of Independence ,Ks passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Independence, Ks.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 16th at 10:00am at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. In case of rain, the service will be moved to Church of the Epiphany, Episcopal, 400 East Maple Street, Independence. The service is under the direction of Potts Chapel of Independence, Ks.
Beulah A. Osborn was born April 3rd 1930 in Independence, Ks the daughter of Benjamin H and Mary F (Dobson) Eytcheson, she attended school in Independence and later in Red Bluff, California.
On March 3rd, 1951 she was united in marriage to Robert M. Osborn in Independence, Ks. They were parents of two sons, Robert E. Osborn, and Thomas M. Osborn.
Following their marriage, Beulah moved to Osawatomie, where her husband worked as a break-man for the railroad. Following their time in Osawatomie they moved back to Independence and she and Bob operated Lake View Haven at Montgomery County State Lake. Bob then began selling insurance and they relocated to Hutchison. After Bob retired from the insurance business they moved to Wichita where they operated a domino club for several years. They then moved back to Independence. Following Bob�½s death in 1988, Beulah was employed by Eagle Estates. Until her sight failed, Beulah volunteered as a driver for the Fish Organization, taking people to out of town doctor�½s appointments. She was a member of AARP and the Fish Organization of Independence.
She is survived by her long-time friend Joe Weston, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, four brothers and one sister.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence.
