Beulah Lenora Humphrey Henderson,89, of Chautauqua, Kansas passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at her home. A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the New Life Baptist Church in Chautauqua with Pastor Larrie Adam officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview cemetery in Niotaze, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the New Life Baptist Church in Chautauqua, Kansas and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Beulah was born December 27, 1923 in Protection, Kansas the daughter of Robert Kirby and Martha Lenora Peters Humphrey. She grew up in Mulvane, Kansas and graduated from the Mulvane School System. On June 12, 1951 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma Beulah was united in marriage to Everett Henderson Jr. and the couple made their home in Wichita, Kansas and in 1993 they moved to Chautauqua, Kansas and Everett preceded her in death. Beulah worked as a Heat Cold therapist at the St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita until her health forced her to retire. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Chatauqua. Survivors include two daughters Judi St.Clair of Chautauqua, Ks., and Barbara Palmer of Park City, Ks., three sons Ed Henderson of Sedan, Ks., Stuart Henderson of Winfield, Ks., and Larry Glisson Jr., of Chautauqua, Ks., six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
