Betty Paine

Betty Jo Paine, 73, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Friday January 23, 2015 at the Cherryvale Nursing and Rehab Center, Cherryvale, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a. m. , Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas with Pastor Grady Miller of the Bolton Friends Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel of Cherryvale.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday January 28, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale.
The family has suggested memorials to the Alzheimer's Association and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.
Betty was born September 12, 1941 in Coffeyville, Kansas the daughter of Raymond E. and Marguerite B. (Bonham) Hills. She grew up in Coffeyville and attended school in Coffeyville and Altamont as well as Elk City, Kansas.
On November 9, 1957 Betty was united in marriage to Melvin Sydney Paine and the couple made their home in California and later returned to Kansas. Melvin preceded her in death in September, 1996.
Betty was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters Tina F. Coda and husband Dwight of Independence, Ks. Crystal D. Fosnight and husband Rick of Cherryvale, Ks. two sons Blynn R. Paine and wife Daisy of Livermore, Calif., Douglas B. Paine of Hutchison, Ks., one brother Jimmy Hills of Oklahoma and one sister Barbara Stroble of Kansas. Twenty grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren one great great grandchild.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marguerite Hills one grandchild Kaylene Josephene Harris.
