Betty Foreman

Betty F. Foreman, age 87, of Independence, Kansas died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Friends may sign the register book from 8:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas or online at www.pottsfuneralhome.com. Betty was born September 12, 1923 in Parsons, Kansas to Herman C. and Genevieve Schoff Larsen. She grew up in Parsons, Kansas and attended schools in the Parsons School System. On May 24, 1947 Betty married Earl Foreman in Fort Scott, Kansas. Betty and was a homemaker. Betty and Earl moved to the Montgomery county area in 1974. Earl preceded her in death on January 14, 2010. Survivors include two sons Phil Foreman and Brian Foreman both of Independence, Kansas one daughter Sharon Smith of Independence, Kansas two brothers Melvin Larsen of Parsons, Kansas and Kenneth Larsen El Cajon, California one sister Maxine Gaiser of Parsons, Kansas 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
