Barbara Gaines

Barbara Babs Anne Gaines age 74 of Eureka, Kansas died Sunday October 18, 2009 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church in Eureka, Kansas with the Reverend Alan Hunter officiating. Dinner will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church. Barbara Babs Anne Gaines was born March 28, 1935 in El Dorado, Kansas to P.L. and Minnie Marie Williams Barnes. She grew up in El Dorado, Kansas and graduated from the El Dorado High School. Barbara Babs work at the Cozy Inn, Wig Wam Bar Grill for Kay Klayter and Max Brotherton. She lived in Longton, Kansas from 1980 to 1984. Barbara worked at the Sedan Times Star and the Moundridge Journal. She was a member of the Inner Healing Group, the Al-Anan in Longton, Kansas. Survivors include her daughter Betheny Gaines Winkler of Yukon, Oklahoma; one son William R. Gaines of Eureka, Kansas; one grandson Jacob Winkler of Yukon, Oklahoma and four step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one son.
