December 20, 1920 — February 22, 2019

Arletta Bernice Field, 98, of Independence, Kansas passed away at Medicalodges of Independence on Friday, February 22, 2019. A celebration of Arletta's life will be held at Potts Chapel in Independence on Saturday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM.



Arletta Bernice (Cameron) Field was born on December 20, 1920 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Leonard H. and Amanda Elizabeth (Greening) Cameron. She attended and graduated from Nowata High School in 1941. On December 25, 1941, Arletta married Vernon Field in Neodesha, Kansas. Arletta loved to do crossword puzzles, read and work on numerous cross-stitch projects.



She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard H. and Amanda Elizabeth Cameron, husband, Vernon Field, brothers, Clyde and Lewis Cameron, and sister, Mary Hultz.



Those left to cherish Arletta's memories; sons, Vernon and wife Connie Field of Aurora, IL, Charles and wife Sara Field of Lawson, MO, daughter, Shirley and husband Ronald Taylor of Independence, KS, brothers, Curtis and GW Cameron, sisters, Thelma Olmstead, Peggy Wilyard, and Carol Sue Baber, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
