Anna Belle Stevens passed away on July 26, 2021 – Loved by so many, missed by all.
Anna Belle was born January 23rd, 1936, to James and Arlene (Frazier) Walker of Oswego, Kansas. On November 13th, 1955 she married her life-long love, O.M. Stevens Jr.
They farmed in Labette County, Kansas, until moving to Coffeyville in 1965. There, they raised their own children and foster-parented children in need. Anna Belle was also an avid cook and baker.
Her loved ones say she always made them feel like they were the only person in the room.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, O.M. Stevens, Jr., brothers Gayle, Arnold, Jimmy, and grandson Billy McGill.
Her loving memory will live on through her son, Jack and wife Angie Stevens of Texas, her daughters Debra and husband Tom Wilson of Coffeyville, Sandra and husband Roger Powell of Independence, and Robin and husband Roy McKey of Texas, her grandchildren, Jacquline and husband Adam Welchman of Texas, Amanda Stevens of Texas, Casey Porter of Coffeyville, Dusty and wife Kandea of Barnsdall, Jaime and husband Dwight Greer of Barnsdall, Melissa Malotte of Independence, David and wife Shawna of Independence, Tisha and husband Darrin Wood of Independence, Olivia Duran and fiancé J.P. of Texas, and her sixteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be forever missed and loved.
A Celebration of Anna’s Life will be held at Fort Scott National Cemetery on Friday, July 30th when she will be laid to rest next to her husband O.M. Stevens Jr. To leave the family a special message of condolence, please visit, www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
