Andrew Simmons

Andrew Lloyd Simmons, age 34, of Edna, Kansas died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in a motor vehicle accident. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Assembly of God Church in Independence, Kansas with the Reverend Terry Tolleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Edna Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Simmons Children Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Andrew Lloyd Simmons was born April 17, 1977 in Independence, Kansas to Curtis G. and Cindy Seller Simmons. Andrew grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School in 1995. On September 30, 1995 Andrew married Heather Counsil in Independence, Kansas the couple made their home in Independence until moving to Edna, Kansas in 2003. Andrew worked at SaveALot, Lees Cooling Heating before going to work at Edna Diesel. Survivors include his wife Heather of the home five children Marion Zev Simmons, Zaid Keith Simmons, Zoltan Joseph Simmons, Xzaydrea Kay Simmons, and Zaxophelious Eton Simmons all of the home parents Curtis and Cindy Simmons of Edna, Kansas father and mother in law Larry and Kleta Counsil of Independence Brother L.G. and wife Wendi Simmons of Edna, Kansas Grandmother Kay Seller of Parsons, Kansas Grandmother in law Luella Lovelace of Independence, Grandmother in law Gwen White of Neodesha, Kansas Grandfather in law Marvin Crigger of Longton, Kansas 2 Sister in laws Jennifer and husband Matthew Wilson of Chanute, Kansas and Desirea and husband Mike Packard of Independence, Kansas 10 nieces and nephews Hayley Simmons, Wyatt Simmons, Lane Curtis Simmons, Lilly Grace Simmons, Triston Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Shelby Wilson, Malachi Packard, Michelle Rehl and Dillon Packard. Andrew was preceded in death by one daughter Xzyrabelle Kelli Ann Simmons, Grandfather Cotton Seller, Grandparents Marion Melva Simmons, and nephew Logan Simmons.
