Alma Dick

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Sunnyside Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Sanders officiating. Laverne was born on March 8, 1922 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Mr. Mrs. W.W. Rose. She was married to Max Dick on August 1, 1942 in Cherokee, Oklahoma. She and Max owned Consumer's Market in Caney for a number of years. After their retirement in 1975 they enjoyed traveling in the USA, Mexico, and Canada until Max's death in 1995. Laverne was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Caney and a member of the CWF. Laverne is survived by one son and two daughters, Jack and Karen Dick, Springdale, AR, De Ann and Fred Curtis, Copan, Oklahoma, and Donna and Chuck Blaney, Neosho, MO, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.
