Alice L. Foust, 66, of Independence passed away at the Medicalodge Independence on Thursday September 17, 2015.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday September 21, 2015 at the Potts Chapel Independence with the Reverend Darren Melton of the First Church of the Nazarene Independence officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel.
Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Association and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.
Alice was born March 16, 1949 in Winfield, Kansas the daughter of Melvin W. and Zoa Anna Belle (Spencer) Payton. She grew up in Douglass, Kansas attending the Douglass School System. She received her GED from Howard, Kansas. Alice also attended Independence Community College.
Alice worded as a assembler for the Emerson Electrical Company and Standard Motors both of Independence and also SBM Maintenance Company at Cessna Independence.
Survivors include one daughter Kathrine Lyons and husband Dan of Independence, three sisters Sonja Draper of KS. Maureen Ingram of KS. And Janice Payton of KS. One granddaughter Lacey Lyons and three great grandchildren Nathan, Nolan, and Hunter.
Alice was preceded in death by one grandson Jared Lyons
