Aldon Ellsworth Corle Sr. age 68, of Independence, Kansas died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at his home in Independence, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Jefferson Cemetery with the Reverend Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Aldon was born October 12, 1940 in Independence, Kansas to Orville and Beulah Bryant Corle. He grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School in 1960. Aldon served in the United States Army. On March 15, 1968 Aldon married Rosalea Victoria Ybarra and the couple made their home in Independence, Kansas. Aldon worked for the Cement Plant in Independence, Kansas for 31 years before retiring in 2002. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and attended the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cherryvale, Kansas. Survivors include two sons Aldon E. Corle Jr and wife Tiffany of Bel Aire, Kansas and Joey L. Corle of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister Charlotte Silbaugh and husband Vergal of Independence, Kansas and two grandchildren Juliana Corle of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Alexis Corle of Bel Aire, Kansas.
