Alberta Sade

Alberta Sade, age 93, of Neodesha, Kansas died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Private family burial was held in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Friends may sign the online register book at www.pottsfuneralhome.com Alberta was born September 17, 1918 in Neodesha, Kansas to Jonah Elmer and Mary Roletta Abbott Bryson. She grew up in Neodesha, Kansas and attended the Neodesha School System. On January 20, 1940 Alberta married Clarence G. Bill Hicks in Independence, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1973. Alberta later married Jeff Sade and he also preceded her in death. She was a lifetime resident of Neodesha and was a homemaker and worked and supervised at many local factories. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFWNeodesha and a life member of the First American Baptist Church of Neodesha. She was a 50 year cancer survivor. Survivors include two daughters Linda L. Cowell and husband Mike of South Dakota and B. Sue Eastep and husband Phil of Cherryvale, Kansas, two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and four brothers and three sisters.
