Alberta Jabben

Alberta S. Jabben, age 81, of Independence, Kansas died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Gansel House in Independence, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with the Reverend Steve Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Zion Lutheran School and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Alberta S. Jabben was born January 26, 1930 in Cherryvale, Kansas to George A. and Rosella Robinson Hines. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and graduated from the Cherryvale High School. On December 25, 1946 Alberta married Robert H. Jabben and the couple made their home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Robert preceded her in death. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
