Thomas Tom Angell, age 79 of Coffeyville, Kansas died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.Thomas Angell was born July 23, 1931 in Ross, California to Edgar Sr. and Alma Fern Goodall Angell, youngest of four siblings. Tom grew up in Corte Madera, California, graduating in 1949 from Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley, California.Tom served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1962, and was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. While in the Air Force, Tom received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and three Good Conduct Medals. Tom was employed at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles, California, from 1963 to 1988. He then worked at FEDCO, Ontario, California from 1988 through 1999, retiring that same year. Tom enjoyed woodworking and jigsaw puzzles.On May 15, 1985 Tom married his lovely wife Teresa Marie Bulik and she survives at the home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Additional survivors include nephews David Wright of Red Bluff, California and Ben Wright of Los Angeles, California. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edgar Angell Jr, half brother Donald Montgomery, and half sister Myrtle Wright.
